300 g pasta (your favorite kind)
300 g ground beef
1 large onion
1 cup tomato sauce (240 ml), ready-made
1/2 cup cream 18–35% (120 ml)
salt, pepper, Italian seasoning
vegetable oil for frying
2 eggs
500 g cottage cheese or ricotta
100 g cheese (I used marble cheese)
salt, pepper, a pinch of nutmeg
50 g grated cheese
fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Cook the pasta until al dente
Sauté the onion in vegetable oil until translucent
Add ground beef and cook, stirring, until fully done
Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs
Pour in tomato sauce (add a little boiling water if too thick)
Add cream and mix
Add cooked pasta to the sauce and simmer for a couple of minutes
Beat the eggs with a fork
Add cottage cheese/ricotta
Add 100 g grated cheese and mix
Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg
In a baking dish, layer half of the pasta with meat sauce
Spread the creamy mixture on top
Add the remaining pasta with meat sauce
Sprinkle with 50 g grated cheese
Cover with foil
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes
Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes
