Mont Tremblant, Quebec. July, 2021

On July 1, Canada celebrated another birthday. To mark the occasion, we headed to the French-speaking part of the country, to the resort town of Mont Tremblant.

This ski resort is especially popular during the winter months, when visitors come for skiing and snowboarding. But these places are beautiful in every season. We had already visited the previous fall and decided that we would definitely return in the summer to see Mont Tremblant in a completely different light...

We leave Toronto early in the morning and, after about a seven-hour drive (including a few stops), arrive in Mont Tremblant. The village, with its colorful rooftops and charming European-style architecture, looks like something out of a postcard

After checking into our hotel, we immediately head out to explore the village.

At the heart of the pedestrian area is a charming square where visitors can relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and watch festivals and performances by street artists

There are many cozy cafes and little restaurants all around

Since the village is located on a mountain, you can use the funicular to travel up and down. Looking below, you can see the pools of one of the hotels

We met up with our friends and spent a few days together. Our hotel also had a cozy pool and a jacuzzi

We were incredibly lucky with the weather. Every day was warm and sunny. We simply walked around and admired the lake

We stop by Starbucks to get some coffee, and I notice this symbolic decoration of the ski resort

The village offers many activities. We took a one-minute safety course and rode the mountain coaster down the hill. Those looking for a thrill headed to the bungee jumping attraction

And of course, what would a trip be without food?)))) We had breakfast at a delicious creperie

And of course, what would a trip be without food?)))) The food in Mont Tremblant is especially delicious. There are many restaurants in the village itself, and if you drive into the town, you will find an entire street filled with wonderful restaurants.

We had already visited one of them on our previous trip and decided to come back again — C'est la Vie. Here, along with the familiar meats we usually enjoy, you can try bison, venison, camel, crocodile, and more.

The food is served on hot stones, and we cook it ourselves to the level of doneness we prefer. This is our seafood platter

The next day, our whole friendly group had dinner at the Italian restaurant Restaurant Antipasto. In the 1930s, there was a railway station on this site, where ski enthusiasts arrived in Mont Tremblant

Late in the evening, we all head out to the magical nighttime forest experience — the Tonga Lumina show. The funicular takes us high up the mountain, where we enter an enchanted forest. We make our way through it surrounded by music and changing light installations

We head back down to the village. All the pubs and bars are packed with people, and everyone is enjoying the lively atmosphere

While the kids were having fun, the adults continued the celebration as well
