A warm, hearty, and easy-to-make dish. There are countless variations of this recipe, but the idea is always the same — the ingredients are layered and baked in the oven until tender and golden
6 medium potatoes
6 pork chops (thinly sliced, about 0.5–0.7 cm thick)
1 large onion
2 tbsp mayonnaise
150 g grated marble cheese
salt and pepper
Slice the potatoes into thin half-moons, season with salt and pepper, add mayonnaise, and mix
Lightly pound the pork chops, then season with salt and pepper
Slice the onion into quarter-rings
Arrange half of the potatoes on the bottom of a baking dish, preferably in a single layer
Place the pork chops on top and evenly cover with the onion
Arrange the remaining potatoes on top, also in a single layer
Sprinkle with grated cheese
Cover with foil
Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 40 minutes
Remove the foil and bake for another 20 minutes
