One of our free weekends in the spring, we took a trip to Niagara Falls. The trip was planned around Mother’s Day, which is traditionally celebrated on the second Sunday of May here in Canada. We didn’t have any grand plans — just to take a walk, enjoy the beauty of Niagara Falls, have some delicious food, visit a couple of interesting places, and, of course, do a little shopping. We managed to do it all, and I’ll show you everything and tell you all about it
We stayed at the Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls. The main advantage of the hotel is its location, quite close to the falls. But for the child, the most important thing was having a swimming pool
We had planned to check out the casino at night, but after collapsing onto the bed, I suddenly lost all desire to leave the room... In the morning, the plan was to have breakfast at my favorite café, Paris Crêpes Café
Mothers and Daughters
After a hearty breakfast, we headed out to admire Niagara Falls. On one side, you can see some of the hotels, and on the other, the falls themselves
There it is — Niagara Falls in all its glory!
Then we stopped by the charming little Floral Showhouse
And outside, we took a stroll through a small park with charming little houses
The park is actually very well maintained. As we leave the park, we come across a horse-drawn carriage
Spring!
Then we had to choose between visiting the Butterfly Conservatory or the birds. This time, the birds won, and we headed to Bird Kingdom. The name Bird Kingdom really speaks for itself
On our way home, we stopped at an outlet mall and did a little shopping. Our short getaway had come to an end. The magnolias were almost finished blooming, and soon the lilacs would be in bloom. I was already looking forward to more beautiful and interesting trips to come
