If you haven’t tried semolina pancakes yet, give this recipe a try. Soaking the semolina in kefir makes the pancakes soft and tender, and they are very easy to prepare. They are especially delicious served with a berry sauce — for example, this warm strawberry sauce made with frozen strawberries
Ingredients
1 cup semolina (200 g)
1 cup kefir (240 ml)
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
50 g melted butter
Vegetable oil for frying
Steps
Pour the kefir over the semolina, mix, and let stand for 30 minutes
Add the remaining ingredients and mix
Fry the pancakes on both sides in vegetable oil over low heat
I served the pancakes with my favorite frozen strawberry sauce:
Place 6 frozen strawberries in a small saucepan, heat over low heat, and mash with a potato masher
Add 1 tsp sugar, stir until the sugar dissolves, and remove from the heat
