A simple and very tasty baked dish that looks beautiful on a festive table. The pineapple juice keeps the meat juicy and tender, while the cheese melts into a delicious golden crust on top
6–8 thin pork cutlets (~0.5–0.7 cm thick)
1 large onion
pineapple rings (I used canned)
1 tbsp mayonnaise
50 g grated marble cheese
salt and pepper
pomegranate seeds (optional)
Slice the onion into quarter rings, add a little mayonnaise, and mix
Spread the onion on the bottom of a baking dish
Lightly pound the meat, season with salt and pepper, and brush with the remaining mayonnaise
Place the meat over the onion and top each piece with a pineapple ring
Sprinkle with grated cheese
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30–40 minutes until the meat is cooked
Optionally garnish with pomegranate seeds
