A delicious and nutritious flourless bread made using an Israeli-style recipe. The main ingredient is tahini — a sesame seed paste known for its rich flavor and nutritional value. The bread turns out soft and airy, with a texture similar to a light cake. It pairs perfectly with avocado, smoked salmon, hummus, cheese, or jam — both in savory and sweet variations. This bread makes a great breakfast or healthy snack
The recipe uses silan (date syrup), a popular sweetener in Israeli cuisine, but it can also be replaced with dark honey. Seeds and nuts can be adjusted to taste
4 eggs
6 tbsp tahini
1–2 tbsp silan (or dark honey)
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
1 tbsp chia seeds (flax seeds can also be added)
1 tbsp finely chopped walnuts
Whisk the eggs, add salt, tahini, and baking soda
Add the seeds and nuts and mix well. The batter will be quite thin
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes, or until fully cooked
