A fun twist on a nostalgic no-bake treat. If you’ve never tried chocolate salami before, think of it as a rich chocolate dessert made with crushed cookies and nuts, set into a sliceable block. In this version, it’s cut into neat squares — easy to serve and perfect with coffee or tea
600 g tea biscuits
200 g walnuts
3/4 cup sugar (190 g)
1/2 cup cocoa powder (60 g)
1 cup milk (240 ml)
225 g butter
Break the biscuits into small pieces
Chop the walnuts and add them to the cookies
In a saucepan, mix sugar with cocoa powder, add milk, and place over low heat
Stir until the sugar fully dissolves
Remove from heat, add butter, and stir until completely melted
Pour the chocolate mixture over the biscuits and nuts and mix well
Line a 23×30 cm (9×13-inch) pan with parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
Once set, cut into squares and serve
